The son of Private Pirie’s best friend had promised his late father to visit the grave.
Together with his brother and the daughter of family friends, he visited the grave on Monday, August 19th, 2024.
As far as we know, it was the very first visit to the grave.
Private Pirie was an only son and had no children.
