As every year, the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth countries commemorate all those who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars, as well as in conflicts that followed.
In cooperation with HQ Joint Force Command Brunssum and the Municipality of Brunssum, we cordially invite you to attend this Remembrance Day ceremony.
This annual commemoration will take place at the British War Cemetery Brunssum on Heufstraat, where 328 British soldiers who lost their lives during the liberation of our country in 1944–1945 found their final resting place.
The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 11 November 2026, from 10:30 a.m. until approximately 11:15 a.m.
Following the ceremony, guests are invited to meet and socialise over a cup of coffee and a traditional slice of Limburg vlaai at Brikke Oave, located at Lindeplein in Brunssum.
Your presence at this special commemoration would be greatly appreciated.
There will be an opportunity to lay a wreath or place flowers in remembrance.
We kindly ask you to confirm by email, no later than 1 November 2026, whether you will be attending and whether you wish to lay a wreath or place flowers. Please include the name(s) of the person or persons who will be laying the wreath or placing the flowers.
We look forward to seeing you.
Yours sincerely,
The Board of the War Cemetery Brunssum Foundation
